There’s something magical about spring—it makes us want to clean, declutter, and breathe new life into everything around us. And guess what? Your planner could probably use a little spring cleaning, too.
Whether you’ve been consistent with your layouts or your planner’s been collecting dust since February, this is the perfect time to refresh, reorganize, and reignite your motivation.
Let’s give your planner the seasonal glow-up it deserves!
Clear the Clutter
Start with a good ol’ planner purge. Grab your planner, your favorite playlist, and a cozy drink, and let’s do this:
Repurpose outdated pages or spreads
Toss old to-do lists and half-used trackers
Go through your supplies: dried-out pens? Random washi tape bits? Bye!
Create a “planner declutter” checklist in your planner to track your progress—and give yourself a sticker when you finish.
Reassess What’s Working (and What’s Not)
Flip through the last 2–3 months of your planner. Notice which spreads were helpful and which ones became ghost towns.
Ask yourself:
Which layouts helped me stay focused?
What did I skip (and why)?
Do I need more structure or more flexibility?
Jot down your reflections in a journal or planner notes page—it’s the first step to real change.
Update Your Layout or System
Spring is the perfect excuse to switch it up. Try:
Moving from vertical to horizontal (or vice versa)
Adding new sections for wellness, meal planning, or self-care
Experimenting with a hybrid system (decorative meets functional planner, anyone?)
You don’t have to overhaul everything—just tweak what’s not vibing with you.
Refresh Your Goals and Habits
Let’s face it: New Year’s goals can start to fade by March. So, let’s give them a spring reset:
Revisit your Q1 goals—what’s working? What needs a rewrite?
Set 1–2 fresh, seasonal goals for the next 30–60 days
Start a new habit tracker or simplify to focus on just 1–2 key habits
Keep it light, fresh, and focused. You’re not behind—you’re resetting.
Create a Seasonal Theme or Color Palette
Spring = florals, pastels, sunshine, and light vibes. Give your spreads a seasonal makeover!
Ideas:
Use a fresh color palette (mint green, blush, sky blue)
Decorate with spring-themed stickers from my Etsy shop
Try a weekly theme like “Fresh Start Week” or “Spring Energy Week”
Visuals make a difference—they lift your mood and make planning more fun.
Restyle Your Planner Space
Your desk or planner corner deserves some spring love, too!
Declutter your workspace
Add a vase of flowers, a new sticky note stack, or a scented candle (eucalyptus rain by Bath and Body Works is my spring fave!)
Rearrange or restock your favorite supplies
I recently added a pastel pen cup and swapped out my tray for a floral one—it made me want to sit down and plan again.
Memory Keep Winter Highlights
Before you leap into spring, wrap up winter with a memory spread:
Add photos from snow days, cozy weekends, or winter wins
Jot down your favorite January–March moments
Use decorative stickers, washi, or journaling cards to style it up
It’s a lovely way to close one chapter and open a new one.

A Fresh Season, A Fresh Start
Spring cleaning isn’t just for closets. Your planner is a reflection of your season—and this is your chance to make it brighter, lighter, and better aligned with where you are right now.
Take a deep breath, clear a little space, and give yourself a fresh start.
